The Moth and The Bat Flying to the Light

This project is inspired by the story of the artist’s friend who used to breed butterflies and moths at her home while undergoing a sex transition. At one point the artist’s friend forgot to discard her hormone ampul after use, and the insects began consuming the leftover liquid with their proboscises. The video takes choreography based on moth behavior as its starting point, with four performers - two contemporary dancers, one ballet dancer, and one vogue dancer - eroding the boundary between human and insect with their movements.
